Bronze: Cells
Cells are the building blocks of life. I'm sure you've heard this before. We just learned that biomolecules are the building blocks of cells, so now we will observe those cells in action.

Task 1
Create a KWL chart in your CJ. What is a KWL chart? Turn your paper sideways. Divide it into 3 columns. Write Know in the first column, Want in the second and Learned in the third.
Today you will fill out the first two columns.

- Clean up your slide by rinsing it and the cover-slip.
- Dry them off and put them back in the container.
- Share what you saw with one other person. Can you guess what kind of cell it is?
Task 3
1. Observe known cell types, illustrate/photograph them, and write your observations.
3. You will be at the lab tables for this portion.
4. If you are waiting for a station to open up, you can work on task 4 while waiting.
5. Use THIS HAND-OUT throughout the activities as you make discoveries about all the types of cells we have discovered so far. You will need to pick one of these up from Mrs. Folks.
- you can use book creator to document your observations and take photographs of the cells, just be sure to save it under your name

Task 4
Watch the video below and take notes over prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
Task 5
1. Open up the app iCell and explore.
Complete more of your chart during your exploration.
2. Use Google to research Archaebacteria and complete this portion your chart.
