Karyotyping Protocol
Karyotyping is a type of analysis where geneticists look at stained chromosomes of a patient to search for chromosomal mutations such as: deletions, translocations, duplications, or non-disjunction.
You will conduct a chromosomal analysis of your patient to look for any abnormalities. You will compare their karyotype to that of a normal individual to find problems or the lack there of.
