Welcome to Silver Cell Cycle!
Be sure to get as far as you can...you have a new shot at Grand-master this semester.

Learning Goals:
I will create a model demonstrating the stages of the cell cycle.
I will recognize that disruptions of the cell cycle lead to things like cancer.

Task 1
What causes cancer?
Watch the video below to find out.
Activity: Journal about what you learned. What causes cancer? How is normal cell different from a cancerous one?
Thank you Amoeba Sisters for another great video!

Task 2
Create a model of the cell cycle.
Choose one of the following to create your model:
1. stage of the cycle: interphase (G1, S, G2), mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase and
telophase), and cytokinesis
2. labels for each stage (including: nucleus, chromosomes, centrioles, spindle fibers, nuclear membrane)
Visusal/Tactile: After completing your model, write a description that explains how your model illustrates each stage of the cell cycle.
Auditory/Tactile: record an explanation of your model in your book creator
